Chicago police were investigating after a shooting inside a 7-Eleven in the Loop Monday night. About 9:45 p.m., a 26-year-old man was inside the convenience store, in the 0-100 block of East Adams Street with someone with a gun came in and pointed it at the man. A brief physical fight ensued, police said, and the suspect fired shots before fleeing eastbound on Adams. The 26-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to a nearby hospital. He was last listed in fair condition, police said. A second victim, a 23-year-old man, was also inside the business at the time and sustained a graze wound to the foot. He was also transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition. Photos and video from the scene showed police tape surrounding the 7-Eleven convenience store, at the corner of Wabash and Adams streets. Yellow evidence markers could be seen on the floor inside.
